It lists old favourites like products from the Philosophy, Nars, and Urban Decay lines….many of which I’m using. It also highlights the star brand of the year Bare Escentuals. It’s hard not to love the new Joe Fresh line at Superstore…it’s a great place to get a little fashion fix without hurting your bank account. I was there last week and was completely blown away by the summer clearance. I stocked up…a cute navy polka dot sundress $3.94, three bathing suits at $2.94 each. A hip t-shirt dress $3.94, a cool long tank $1.94! Need I say more…if you are going by it might not hurt to take a look and see what’s left. The new fall styles are pretty sweet as well. It’s the end of summer but it doesn’t mean the end of having fun and exploring culture. It’s the start of some big popular festivals in Vancouver.
Check out on the fringe theatre and performance of the Vancouver Fringe Festival. Pick up a program guide at your local Blenz Coffee shop. Festival starts September 3.
It doesn’t have the glitz and glam of the Toronto International Film Festival but that’s why we love it. The Vancouver International Film Festival starts on September 25 and runs to October 10. It’s a celebration of world cinema in one city

It was only a week or two ago that fashionable Katie Holmes walked out on the streets in a seemingly pair of pants that belonged to her hubby, Tom Cruise. It was baggy and torn but oh so comfortable looking. It does look like a pair of pants that you randomly grab from the floor after staying over at your boyfriend’s and you’re heading out to grab a coffee. Since that infamous picture peppered the gossip magazines and websites, it’s already herald as the new trend of the season. From 7 For All Mankind to American Eagle Outfitters, you can find these loose-fitting jeans popping up at your local store.
