Get your running on

It’s that time of year again where you take out that bikini from three years ago and wonder if you would finally wear it. Maybe this year should be that year.
You still have a month or two to spare before you strut the two piece and get that perfect natural tan. So why not start gearing up the cardio with the best calorie-burning exercise: running. Aside from sweating off last night’s dessert, it’s also a full body workout. And the best way to NOT fall off the band wagon is to sign up for the local runs. By registering for a run, it motivates you to train and it’s a worthy cause as most are charity events.
After the Sun Run, when I still had the adrenaline going, I signed up for the PMC Sierra Science Fair Fun Run and the Scotiabank Vancouver Half Marathon/5K. There are several other running events happening throughout the year and across the lower mainland.
So trade in those heels for some runners, and I’ll see you at the finish line ![]()
