The Hong Kong influenced Night Market starts again on May 16 in historic Vancouver Chinatown. Unfortunately the one in Richmond will be canceled this year. The yearly highlight of the summer won’t take place due to lack of location to hold the market. But have no fear, the one in Chinatown will still hold hundred booths of toys, gifts, clothing, electronics, accessories, jewellery and a whole lot more. Aside from perusing the many booths, there will be entertainment such as karaoke nights, martial arts, bands, dancing, and games for you to enjoy.
And how can you miss trying the delicious food and snacks with the smells teasing your senses..and stomach! There is the popular Sam who knows how to put on a show when he makes his famous waffle like pastry. Or watch in awe the complexity of creating the Dragon Beard - hand made cotton candy with a peanut filling.
I have my shopping list ready, do you?
