LBD on a college dime

My sister hit the jackpot while shopping this weekend. She found a well-fitting little black dress (LBD) for $50! For a college senior, this basically the equivalent to getting a cute bartender to comp your drinks the night you went out to celebrate passing Religion 210 - The Bible as Literature.
The dress did have some interesting detail (beaded straps, A-line structure, t-length), it definitely needed some accessories help to make it work for the several occasions she had going into senior week.
This was my take for three different events that she’ll attend this spring/summer…
Going stag to the Senior Ball - Bangles, bangles, bangles! An arm full of color will brighten the dress as she’s busting out her 80’s dance moves on the floor. Daring make-up /hair would also be fitting, since it isn’t a look she doesn’t have to maintain all day long.
Tasting at a Winery - The A-line shape makes it hard to belt the dress but a light-weight long cardigan in a fine weave would elongate the look. I’d toss in a large turquoise, patent or other eye-catching tote too, carried in the nook of the arm.
Family Wedding- This is where I’l let the complimentary fit of the dress make the statement. Simplistic kitten heels, a headband and glowing make-up will be low maintenance enough so she can focus her efforts on remembering distant relatives’ names.
