Former Australian prisoner, Graeme Alford, who spent several years in Melbourne’s former Pentridge prison for embezzlement and armed robbery, has decided to purchase he old cell, number 43, as part of a commercial redevelopment of the prison. Pentridge is being redeveloped into a wine block, which will eventually hold approx $50 million in rare wines. Alford, who’s love of liquor and gambling, got him into the cell in the first place, has turned his life around and since become a writer and motivational speaker. Looks like alcohol has once again lured Alford back to Pentridge.
