We all do it at work. When we are bored with staring at spreadsheets and documents, we go surf and check out our emails, Facebook, or Perez Hilton. And aside from the occasional YouTube links that we receive, you notice you keep going to the same sites. Here are some fun sites for you to peruse through, get a chuckle out of it, and even learn from them. Besides, when your boss walks by he might even think it’s ‘acceptable viewing material’ at work or just plain cool.
The Human Calendar: The fellow behind this ingenious site had a bunch of friends posed with signs with days of the week and numbers. You can upload this calendar to your desk and make your computer seem more ‘personable’.
Overheard in the Office: I’m sure you’ve been in a situation where you’re busily typing away and over the cubicle you overhear a conversation that made you go ‘he/she said what??!!”. Well this site captures those odd fragments of talks and quotes that will make you laugh and shake your head in disbelief that someone said that in an office.
The Onion: This is like the Daily Show but online. The website features satirical articles reporting on all types of news. The articles comment on current daily news such as editorial, interviews, and entertainment. Like an onion, enjoy this tongue in cheek multi layered website
